You as a Farm Seeker or Farm Owner in the program are responsible for:
- Completely and accurately completing the Connecticut Farm Link Application
- Proofreading the information you send to the Connecticut Farm Link Program
- Searching for Farm Seekers on the Farm Link website
- Requesting and reviewing Questionnaires that are sent to you
- Contacting those persons who best meet your qualifications
- Asking questions to gather information. Example: Questions related to farm work experience, farm ownership goals, farm management experience
- Checking references
- Meeting with those persons who best meet your qualifications
- Contacting the Department of Agriculture in writing if you wish to remove or update your listing
- Following up after a match so we can evaluate the program. We will ask you to fill out a questionnaire to give us information that will help you and others in the future.
This Program Does Not:
- Screen applicants
- Check references
- Guarantee a suitable match for your needs

How Do I Find A Match
If you find a listing that looks promising, call (860) 713-2503 with the case number along with your case number. A complete copy of the questionnaire with contact information will be mailed to you. Calling the contact is your responsibility. PLEASE NOTE: If you do not have a computer or access to the Internet at a public library, contact our office for copies of promising farm owners or seekers.
